Southlake Water Utilities is working with Badger Meter to upgrade more than 10,000 meters in Southlake this summer. In fact, you may have received your Smart Technology already! The technology is actually a device attached to your standard brass meter that communicates with a secure website via cell towers. 

One of the benefits of the program is the ability to monitor your water use in real time, which can help you identify anomalies with your water use and make more informed decisions about your usage. You can also set alerts for possible leaks.

The graph below is just one example of what you'll be able to see.

After your system is tested, quality-checked, and ready, you will receive a notice in the mail with information about accessing your account online or on your smart phone. More information for you means less surprises when your monthly bill arrives!

Average Daily Water Use

For the month of August, the average Southlake resident used 518 gallons of water per day. Our goal is to get this number down to an average of 311 gallons per day. To find out how you can decrease this number, click the button below.
