Smart Irrigation, Smart Conservation.
Smart Irrigation Month is an Irrigation Association initiative to increase awareness of the value of water use and grow demand for water-saving products, practices and services. By using these principles when watering your own lawn, you're doing your part to conserve water.
Our main goal here at Southlake Water Utilties is to get the word out about water conservation in Southlake.

You can help us do this by sharing this email with your friends, and telling them they can
sign up here for great information on lawn care, fixing leaks, water-related news, and more!
Weekly Watering Advice
Our recommendation this week is for you to apply 0.25 inches of water to your lawn this week. For more information on how to adjust your sprinkler for this, click here. Please remember that if you do decide to run your sprinkler, only water on your designated days, between 6pm and 10am.
Join Us For Our Library Event
Give the kids something to do next week and learn all about the value of water! Southlake Water Utilities has created a display in the library about the water cycle, when to water your yard, facts about leaks, and more. Environmental Coordinator Christi Upton will also be reading "The Magic School Bus At The Water Works"  at the library on July 27th at 11am. Be sure to pick up a free activity booklet and a water use pledge while you're here!
Did You Know...
That drip irrigation can reduce water usage in a given area by up to 50%? A rain/freeze sensor can reduce water usage over a year by 10-15% (depending on weather conditions), and new controllers are available that take the guesswork out of irrigation by using current and forecasted weather to adapt your sprinkler program.

Sign up for a free W.I.S.E. Guys irrigation evaluation today to get your sprinkler system in tip-top shape, and receive up to a $200 credit on your water bill.
Go Green with Paperless Billing
Do your part and save a little bit of paper each month by requesting your water bill be sent you electronically via email. To sign up to begin receiving your paperless bill, click here and fill out the enrollment form. If you do choose to continue receiving your bill by mail, remember to recycle it later.
